Meet Rebecca Lynch
ArtsAVL’s New Development Director
January 10, 2023 – Asheville, N.C. | Join us in welcoming the newest member of our staff: Rebecca Lynch! Rebecca (she/her), ArtsAVL’s new Development Director, comes to us with over two decades of experience working in cultural nonprofits. We are thrilled to be working with her and excited about how she will support our mission to keep the arts at the heart of our community.
Rebecca spent the past three years leading Chow Chow: An Asheville Culinary Event Series. Under her leadership, Chow Chow garnered international recognition – not only for the diversity and creativity of events, but also for its mission, which prioritizes equity, education, and food sovereignty. Prior to that, Rebecca spent 15 years at the Asheville Art Museum, working in development and managing the $25 capital campaign for the museum’s award-winning renovation and reopening.
As Development Director for ArtsAVL, Rebecca will make her official return to the arts world. But creativity – in all of its forms – has always been central to her life and work. She is deeply embedded in our creative community. As a fifth generation WNC resident, she is also deeply rooted in the history and culture of this region. She’s currently based in Fairview, where she works on her own creative culinary projects with the help of her faithful feline sidekick, Maple.
Help us welcome Rebecca! If you have well wishes for her, or want to share a special memory of working with her in a past role, send them our way to pass on.
