ArtsAVL Announces the Grant Cycle for Fiscal Year 2025
Mark your calendars – ArtsAVL is thrilled to announce its 2024- 2025 grants cycle. This fiscal year, ArtsAVL will manage five grant programs: Arts for Schools, Arts Build Community, Artist Support, Grassroots Arts Program, and Event Support Grant.
Creative Spaces Survey Now Open
ArtsAVL invites artists and arts organizations in the Asheville Metro area (Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, and Madison Counties) to share their candid feedback about local creative spaces and space-related issues impacting creative growth and development. The survey deadline is March 11.
Now Available: City Council Candidates Respond to ArtsAVL Survey
In advance of the 2024 primary elections, ArtsAVL surveyed the candidates for Asheville City Council on the local creative economy, asking them to share their thoughts on a range of topics and indicate their stances on key issues for local creatives. The full survey responses are now available as a resource for voters interested in candidates’ priorities for the creative community.

Arts AVL Announces Grassroots Arts Program Grant Awardees
ArtsAVL celebrates 43 recipients of the Grassroots Arts Program grant. The grant provides programmatic and operating support for nonprofit arts organizations in Buncombe County. Recipients include organizations working in fields as diverse as dance, puppetry, choral and symphonic music, children’s theatre, mask making, arts for healing, community radio, and more.
Fourteen Buncombe County Artists Receive Artist Support Grant
ArtsAVL is excited to announce that 14 Buncombe County residents are recipients of the 2023-24 Artist Support Grant. Buncombe County grantees received $31,769 for projects in disciplines including ceramic arts, music, filmmaking, fiber arts, acting, metalpoint, and dance.
Event Support Grant Awarded to Nine Local Organizations
ArtsAVL congratulates nine recipients of the City of Asheville’s Event Support Grant. Facilitated by ArtsAVL for the first time, the grant allows ArtsAVL to reimburse cultural and arts-related nonprofit events for certain City fees and charges.
